Beach business communities struggle to stay afloat during pandemic

Cox Gazette | Saidul latif Sakib July 14, 2021, 05:22 PM Beach business communities struggle to stay afloat during pandemic

After trying for four hours, a fish got caught in my net. Will I eat it or will my children eat it?"

I have a small shop in Cox's Bazar Beach, with which I used to run my family, all ended in Lockdown last year. Tourism has stopped since last year and there is no name to open it. The tourism of Cox'sbazar was reopened for a month earlier this year and has stopped coming to the beach again as the virus has spread.

What else to do in such a situation I came to the sea with the net. I came here at 8:45 in the morning and now I will go home. After trying for four hours, a fish got caught in my net. Will I eat it or will my children eat it. I have explained to many journalists in many ways that our financial situation is very bad due to the closure of the beach. They said our word will reach the government, no help has come from the government.
